History of Bow Wow Bed & Breakfast

November 1998 the business started out as a small boarding home-based business just 100 feet behind my house. The original building was only 468 square feet and contained 10 indoor/outdoor boarding runs. I ran the business by myself until my twin pregnancy came. In March 2002, I hired my first employee to help with the business. That person was also a Professional Groomer and thus began the Grooming department! Steady and sure the business kept growing and customers increased mostly by word of mouth from friends and local vets. Very little advertising was needed. We were excited to serve the community and it seemed that the community was excited to find us! Two years after the Grooming department was started we added 864 square feet onto the existing building, giving us a new comfortable grooming area, a new office and a larger boarding wing. Many years of blood, sweat, tears, fixing fences and scrubbing walls have flown by! Over the years Bow Wow has seen several cherished and loved employees move on to other adventures in life and we have welcomed new ones to take their places. How blessed we feel to continue to serve our Employees, Community friends and their Precious beloved Pets in the future. If you haven't given us a visit yet, please come see us soon!- Christy

Meet the Owners
Christy is the original dreamer, designer and owner of Bow Wow. Practiced as a Registered nurse for 8 years before building, opening and managing the boarding kennel so she could be a "stay at home Mom". Has been the heartbeat of every passion and growth concerning the care taken to keep other people's companion pets secure, healthy and happy.
Christy & Scott Booker, owners
Scott & Christy have been married since 1993. Although Scott had his own career elsewhere as a leader in the Home Health medical industry for over 30 years before joining the kennel care team at Bow Wow, he has always been partner in support and strength underneath making it possible for Bow Wow to exist. Now he works inside the business as well bringing his excellent customer service and love and care to the boarders.
